RAJAEI BALING asked: I’m getting ready to install a travertine backsplash in my new kitchen. I will be installing it over existing drywall. Should I ude white thinset or mastic? Also, some people say seal the tiles befor you start, some say don’t. Any ideas?

pebble asked: I am fixing to remodel my kitchen. I have an idea of how I want it to look but I really want a picture reference to help me with picking the colors and putting things together. I am not seeing anything I want on the sites I have gone to. Also I am on a different computer than usual and it is incredibly slow so surfing for more is a pain. I need a site that is easy to browse and has many different designs. Do you know of any?

nikkers asked: I am moving & want to redo the kitchen. It’s cutesy country in red checks, not my style!! The floor is light tan, the cabinets are brick red & almond & there are no appliances. I was going to paint the cabinets cream & get almond appliances, but it seems like all the appliances are either white, black or stainless. Love stainless, but too expensive..
I plan to repaint the cabinets, but don’t know what color combinations to use with the cabinets & appliances. I really don’t want all white.
Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. I really like the Tuscany look with golds burgundy & greens.
