hometips.gregvan.com I don’t know how many times I’ve ran into a problem like this while removing a tile floor. I’ve never removed a tile floor though before that had three potential layers that could have separated and actually did in some areas. It’s always going to be best to apply tile flooring directly on top of the original homes floor structure. In other words, if you have a concrete floor slab, remove any additional layers before installing your tile, no matter what you hear from somebody else. Until they actually come up with a product that works in all cases for every situation, stick with this advice. In this video you can clearly see how easy it was to remove concrete pillars and even certain parts of the linoleum flooring, because of excess of moisture. The biggest problem with this floor was the structural foundation cracks that allowed moisture to seep under the flooring and the concrete based fillers, causing their ultimate doom.
